Bruno Duran: The more you practice the more you learn and more expertise you acquire.

One of the best parts about running a company serving jiu-jitsu players is the incredible stories we hear from our customers.

We love Bruno's story because he took advantage of training BJJ to improve his body and mind coordination.

Miami, FL. White Belt.

Why did you first get into jiu-jitsu?

To cop with life's stress and as a way of distraction from the day to day routine, I've been attracted by the BJJ because I wanted to learn and train my body to respond better to my brain signals, the human chess is amazing and the discipline that it requires is another thing that helps you to be the best version of you everyday.

What has been the biggest obstacle in your journey and how have you overcome it?

The biggest challenge so far was my first roll, I did not know what to do or how to do it, a gentle advanced white stripe at my academy guided me through some moves and gave me some advises as well, made me feel better that day, the BJJ community is like a big whole family.

Tell us about your best (or worst) submission story.

Armbars here and there on my first rolls 😂.

Share one piece of advice you have for our community.

Never lose motivation, there are good and bad days but at the end of the day is all learning and gaining experience, everything new is difficult at the beginning but as the time pases and the more you practice the more you learn and more expertise you acquire.
