One of the best parts about running a company serving jiu-jitsu players is the incredible stories we hear from our customers.
We love Diana's story of balancing life priorities and passion for BJJ.
Washington, Dc. Blue Belt.
Why did you first get into jiu-jitsu?
I don't have a great story for why I started... I guess BJJ people carry themselves with that Je ne sais quois and I wanted a piece of it.
What has been the biggest obstacle in your journey and how have you overcome it?
Balancing this crazy passion with other life priorities is a big challenge, and it's pushed me into philosophy to find ways to move forward. Having the most supportive folks around, both on the mats and those who do not train, helps a lot too.
Tell us about your best (or worst) submission story.
At the Copa Virginia tournament recently I finished a match in 26 seconds - slingshot to armbar.
