Adam Bradley is a San Diego based Jiu-Jitsu coach and competitor. He's won many championships, including world titles in both the Gi and No-Gi.
Known as "The Escape Artist," Bradley is famous for his incredible ability to get out of tough situations on the mat. He even won a three-hour match on a reality show!
Deep half guard and waiter sweeps are some of his best known positions. At the 2024 West Coast Trials, Bradley made it to the finals. With just seconds left in the match, he clearly swept Michael Pixley with his signature waiter guard sweep.
Nevertheless, ADCC officials did not end up awarding Bradley sweep points (total BS in our eyes as well as most of the Jiu Jitsu worlds'). Pixley went on to be crowned the trials winner, while Bradley was issued a late invite months later.
Bradley ended up accepting the invite, only to pivot a few days later and enter Craig Jones' CJI tournament. He had several exciting wins at CJI before ultimately being submitted by 80kg+ winner Nick Rodriguez.
Bradley is the head coach at The Arena and a black belt under the legendary Andre Galvao. His impressive resume includes multiple national titles and numerous medals from major Jiu-Jitsu tournaments.
Biography
Adam Bradley's childhood was tough. Growing up in New Hampshire, he faced financial struggles that led to trouble in school. Just when it seemed like he was headed for a rough path, a teacher saw something in him. This teacher, a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu, introduced Adam to the sport, sparking a passion that would change his life.
To pursue his Jiu-Jitsu dream, Adam made incredible sacrifices. As a teenager, he worked tirelessly to balance school and training, even sleeping in his car to make ends meet. His determination led him to move to San Diego with just $25, where he took on grueling work and training schedules to achieve his goals.
