Biography

Andrew Wiltse, a native of Topanga Canyon, California, began his martial arts journey in Hawaii during a summer visit. He joined a judo club and earned his blue belt before returning to Michigan.

Wiltse's early training was influenced by Mike Ogden, a judo black belt who served as his primary instructor in Drummond Island. Despite the island's isolation, Wiltse developed a strong foundation in judo under Ogden's guidance.

After a disappointing loss in his MMA debut, Wiltse became even more dedicated to training. He met Heath Pedigo, a prominent figure in jiu-jitsu, who recognized Wiltse's potential. Pedigo offered Wiltse the opportunity to train full-time at his academy in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
