Biography
Firas Zahabi began his martial arts journey in 1998 after being inspired by Royce Gracie's UFC victory. Despite the lack of legitimate Gracie Jiu-Jitsu coaches in Montreal, Zahabi self-taught himself and eventually started training under Angelo Exarhakos at Tristar Gym.
Zahabi quickly became a dedicated student and instructor, eventually taking over the grappling classroom after Exarhakos left. He focused on no-gi jiu-jitsu and helped train many successful MMA fighters, including George Saint-Pierre. Zahabi also trained with renowned instructors like John Danaher, Braulio Estima, and Roger Gracie, earning his black belt in 2011.
