Biography
Izaak Michell, born in Adelaide, Australia, was a sporty kid who loved surfing, skateboarding, and gymnastics. He even won silver medals in national gymnastics competitions! He also played Australian football, a rough sport that helped him develop toughness. Though he briefly tried kickboxing, his true passion ignited when he started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) at 16. His talent was clear, and he quickly progressed under coach Leo Arruda.
Later, Izaak moved to New York to train with the legendary John Danaher, where he became close with fellow Australian, Craig Jones. Together, they left Danaher's team to form their own group. Izaak continued to climb the BJJ ranks, earning his brown belt in 2022. However, things took a turn in early 2023 when he parted ways with the B-Team, becoming an independent grappler.
