Kade Ruotolo: Jiu Jitsu Athlete Profile

Kade Ruotolo is an American Black Belt Jiu Jitsu fighter and Submission grappler. He and his twin brother Tye Ruotolo have been practicing martial arts since they were 3 years old.

Kade is a IBJJF World Champion and he also won the championship for Pan Am and European open at colored belt level. He also won the 2022 ADCC World championship in the 77kg division at the age of 19 years old, making him the youngest ADCC Submission Fighting World Champion.

Biography

Kade Ruotolo was born in January 2003, on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii. His family has Italian and Puerto Rican roots. Even though he was born in Hawaii, Kade's family moved to Huntington Beach, California when he was really young. There, his parents, who loved grappling, signed him and his twin brother, Tye, up for jiu-jitsu classes when they were just little kids. They started competing when they were only three years old!

Because of their amazing talent, Kade and Tye quickly became famous in the world of grappling. They were like child stars! When they were ten, they even got sponsored by a big clothing company. As they got better, they trained with some of the best jiu-jitsu teachers in the world. They kept moving to different top-level teams until they finally settled at Atos Jiu-Jitsu in San Diego. Their coach, André Galvão, was so impressed with them that he gave Kade and Tye their black belts when they were only eighteen!
