Biography

Lachlan Giles, a native of Victoria, Australia, was born in 1986. Inspired by Jet Li's movies, he began training in Kung Fu as a teenager. This sparked his interest in combat sports, and after watching Royce Gracie's UFC fights, he decided to pursue Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Giles trained under Tyron Crosse until a severe knee injury forced him to take a year off. Upon his return, he continued his training under John Simon, earning his black belt in 2012.

Giles then began teaching at Renegade MMA and later joined Absolute MMA, where he has been coaching since. Under the guidance of Thiago Stefanutti, Giles has become a highly respected instructor and continues to teach at Absolute MMA's St Kilda academy.
