Luke Rockhold grew up in a sporty family in California. His dad played basketball, his mom loved tennis, and his brother was a pro surfer. Luke started with judo but switched to wrestling in high school, also picking up jiu-jitsu. Even though he had some college wrestling, he decided to focus on jiu-jitsu and won a few tournaments. That's when he got interested in mixed martial arts.
