Biography
Rafael Mendes began his Jiu-Jitsu journey at a young age with his brother, Guilherme, under the guidance of their cousin and coach, Ramon Lemos.
Despite facing personal challenges, Mendes excelled in BJJ, winning numerous world championships and achieving recognition as one of the best grapplers of his generation. Ultimately, he decided to retire from competitive BJJ to focus on his family and coaching at the Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
