Victor Hugo, a Brazilian born in 1997, wasn't a natural athlete. He tried many sports as a kid but quit them all. His life changed when his dad dragged him to a jiu-jitsu gym in 2011. Though he disliked it at first, he stuck with it and eventually fell in love with the sport.

Victor's jiu-jitsu journey skyrocketed after winning the 2016 IBJJF World Championship. This led him to train under the legendary Ribeiro brothers. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a world champion multiple times and earning his black belt in 2019.
