You might find that your child's frame is suitable for multiple sizes - gi sizing is a matter of personal taste. If you'd like them to wear a tighter, more slim fitting cut you should err toward the smaller size. If you prefer extra room in their gi you can choose the larger size in your range.

In 2024 the IBJJF updated its uniform rules, requiring competition gis to weigh at least 380gsm. Many lightweight gis that were previously legal (like our Kids' Aeroweave Gi) no longer met the new standard.
Our adult Comp380 Gi was developed in direct response to this change. By using a 380gsm pearl weave jacket—the minimum legal weight under current rules—we created the lightest possible gi that remains competition legal, without sacrificing comfort or durability.
