André Porfirio is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who started training in combat sports at a young age. He began with Thai boxing and karate before discovering his passion for jiu-jitsu. After rapid progress, Porfirio moved to São Paulo to train full-time under a renowned instructor, Cicero Costha.
He quickly became a dominant force in the colored belt divisions, winning four world titles. His journey continued with coaching stints in the US, first at a Renzo Gracie Academy and later at Roberto Cyborg's Fight Sports, where he earned his black belt before eventually leaving the team.
