Tommy Langaker is a professional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt from Haugesund, Norway. He earned his rank from Jose Carlos of Kimura and worked directly with Rafael and Guilherme Mendes.

Tommy is one of the most exciting BJJ competitors in his generation as he started competing even while he was in the lower belt divisions. His popularity started after winning the IBJJF Pans and European Open as well as the Copa Podio’s team challenge.

Biography

Tommy Langaker was born on February 8, 1994 in Haugesund Norway. His first experience with martial arts is with the Japanese Ju-Jutsu, which is very popular in Scandinavia.

At 17 years old, Tommy learned about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through a friend. His first instructor, Luis Alberto Armas, became a role model to Tommy. He started traveling around the world to join some of the top events.

He became good friends with a Norwegian athlete, Espen Mathiesen, which led to his arrival in the Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy in California where he met Guilherme and Rafael Mendes.
