Roberto Abreu stumbled upon jiu-jitsu by accident. After losing a playful fight to a friend who used unknown techniques, Abreu became intrigued and started training. He quickly fell in love with competition and started winning matches after just two weeks of training.

Abreu's passion for jiu-jitsu led him to travel to Rio de Janeiro to compete against top-level fighters. There, he trained under Francisco Albuquerque at Nova Geração, forming a strong bond with the team.
