Jiu Jitsu Gi Size Chart

Gold BJJ Gi Size Chart

This size chart is for unisex sizes (A0 to A5) for all of our gis. We also offer our gis in womens' and kids' cuts.

You might find that your frame is suitable for multiple sizes - gi sizing is a matter of personal taste. If you like a tighter, more slim fitting cut you should err toward the smaller size. If you prefer extra room in your gi you can choose the larger size in your range.

While we use pre-shrunk fabric in all of our gis, you can still expect some shrinkage (especially if you're washing in hot water, or tumble drying). A good rule of thumb is heavier weight gis (like our Valiant or Calavera) will shrink more than lighter weight gis (like our Aeroweave). For more information on gi shrinkage, check out this video.

Not sure if you're choosing the right size? We get it, gi sizing can be tricky. That's why we offer totally free pre-paid returns.

Our Aeroweave Gi will be your new favorite training companion. 40% lighter than a standard pearl weave gi, the Aeroweave combines best-in-class durability with the comfort and breathability that only a lightweight gi can achieve. It's a must-have in your collection!

Ultra Lightweight

When it comes to lightweight gis, the Aeroweave is about as light as it gets.

Featuring a 275 GSM Jacket and 10oz Ripstop Pants, this gi stays breathable and light as a feather even on the hottest days at the academy.

All of our gis are pre-shrunk, so you can wear them right out of the box and be confident about getting the right fit.

Built to Last

We reinforced the Aeroweave at every opportunity and put it through months of testing to make sure it is ready for your journey.

With an EVA Bolstered Collar, Ripstop-lined cuffs, and reinforced stitching at all high stress points, this gi is in it for the long haul.

Minimalist Design

We chose a minimalist aesthetic for this gi so your own style can shine.

The G Shield Logo shoulder patches, For The Journey detailing on the inner lapel, and Gold BJJ cursive script on the pants all give this gi its nice clean look.

Enjoy plenty of real estate on this gi for any patches you want to add. It's your journey, not ours!

Please note that our gis do not include belts.

    Buy Bigger than you think!

I'm new to BJJ and gold came highly recommended. I can't tell you the quality level since i have no experience with it, but i can tell you to buy bigger. I'm a husky guy 5'11, 260 and XXL rashguards were smaller than other brands; so small i could not get on all the way and then needed help to get it off. A3 gi was a bit small, so i should have swapped to an A3H or even A4. Customer service is top notch!

    Soft Material

I really like the feel of my new Aerowrave. I was replacing another lightweight gi which was good but felt rubbery. I look forward to competing in Orlando in a few weeks.

    Love it

I have only had the chance to wear once, but I already love it. It is very lightweight and comfortable. Everything was stitched up nice and I didn't notice any issues. I would definitely recommend.

    Big fan!

Light, comfy, schnazzy looking! Order long, though, I guess. I'm 5'9", 140 lb, got an A1L and the pants are definitely still very short: I have like six inches of ankle showing.
