You might find that your frame is suitable for multiple sizes - gi sizing is a matter of personal taste. If you like a tighter, more slim fitting cut you should err toward the smaller size. If you prefer extra room in your gi you can choose the larger size in your range.

While we use pre-shrunk fabric in all of our gis, you can still expect some shrinkage (especially if you're washing in hot water, or tumble drying). A good rule of thumb is heavier weight gis (like our Valiant or Calavera) will shrink more than lighter weight gis (like our Aeroweave). For more information on gi shrinkage, check out this video.

In 2024, the IBJJF changed their uniform rules requiring all competition gis to weigh at least 380gsm. This rule change made many lightweight gis (like our Aeroweave) no longer competition legal.

Ordered A0 according to the size chart it would fit weight (140 lbs and under) and height 5'5 and under. My daughter is 108 pounds and 5'3 and the GI is borderline short (gray area). I do wash her GIs in cold water and hang dry but know after a few washes it won't fit her very long. I also decided to order A0 because that what she wears in other brands. Wish is it a little long because it does look short on her.
Plue side my daughters first comment on the GI was that its light which is a plus because it competition legal!

Absolutely love this gi! This is the best fitting gi I’ve ever owned. I love it so much I asked our gym owner to make this our gi for compeititors at my gym (we can wear what we want but sometimes getting matching if at big comps). The material is nice and I have enough thigh room.
Absolutely LOVE my Comp 380 Gi! I hate a heavy still GI, so I knew GoldBJJ was the way to go. There is a bit of stiffness at first but after a few uses and washes it felt perfect! Easy to drill and roll in even with full leggings underneath. Absolutely would recommend any of their Gi’s
